TSE issues the third report on the mayoral elections and PARLACEN

The Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) issued the third report on the elections of mayors and deputies of the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN) that took place on Sunday, March 3, which highlighted that they took place normally.

“We can ratify to the country and the international community that the elections were carried out normally in a peaceful and orderly manner, as an authentic expression of civility and democratic values,” explained the presiding judge of the TSE, Dora Esmeralda Martínez.

The judge highlighted that the voting centers were fully opened at 8:25 in the morning and that the use of the computer equipment of the Vote Receiving Boards (JRV) in the scrutiny and dissemination of the results was successful. with which close to 80% has been achieved so far.

With 77.98% of the minutes processed from the elections for PARLACEN deputies, the preliminary scrutiny indicates that the parties have obtained the following number of New Ideas brands 613,964 votes; SAND 126,724; FMLN 98,926 votes; Earns 90,241 votes; PDC 87,997; PCN 72,068; Solidarity Force 37,899; and CD 22,094.

Regarding the election of municipal councils, Judge Martínez indicated that the scrutiny has advanced 78.27% and that so far the projections indicate that the Nuevas Ideas party has obtained 24 mayoralties, the PDC four, PCN three, the PCN-PDC coalition a; Arena one and Solidarity Force one.

The municipalities that have yet to be defined are: San Vicente Norte, Chalatenango Centro, La Libertad Norte and Ahuachapán Norte.
