The victim is a 25-year-old Ukrainian boy who is alive but in serious condition. He was aboard the van that yesterday morning did not respect the pedestrian crossing and risked hitting a man.
The pedestrian, 47, Italian, then arrested, began to protest against the driver of the van who almost hit him. The driver then got out of the vehicle but at that moment the pedestrian pulled out a knife and hit him with a stab in the chest. The carabinieri blocked him shortly after and declared him under arrest on charges of attempted murder. The military also confiscated the weapon, a switchblade.
The victim was rescued by two army lieutenants in service at the application school and then entrusted to the care of 118. He was first transported by ambulance to the Maria Vittoria and then transferred to the Mauriziano to undergo surgery because the tip of the knife damaged his pericardium, the membrane that covers the heart: is in cardiac resuscitation and is currently under observation.
