Turin, entire condominium in revolt to defend a drug dealer: three wounded policemen

by admin

An apartment building in revolt against the arrest of a pusher. About twenty people, last night, tried to block the arrest of an alleged drug dealer who lives in Corso Regina Margherita 162 / b, near the Rondò della Forca. The young man, 21, had been stopped while delivering a dose to a customer in Corso Valdocco. The “hawks” of the Flying Squad went to his house to search the accommodation.

At that point the boy, with the excuse of smoking a cigarette, went out onto the balcony and gave the alarm to the rest of the building. “The police are there,” he yelled. His brother tried to stop the policemen of the mobile squad while the others, about twenty people including friends, neighbors and family, tried to kick and spit the police away.

A man, Abdessalem Haj Salem, 38, with a conviction for murder in 2009, tried to get hold of the gun of one of the officers. He was arrested along with the drug dealer and the latter’s brother. Three policemen were injured and were taken to hospital. They will heal in a fortnight.
