The man held responsible for the murder of Fausto Tentorio, the missionary, originally from the province of Lecco, of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions (PIME) who served as a former parish priest, was arrested in the Philippines, killed on 17 October 2011. Philippine Agency news. The man arrested by the police is Ricardo Boryo Dorado aka Nene Dorado, 65, from Barangay Dallag, a village he headed. The arrest was carried out on the basis of an arrest warrant for murder issued on 30 April 2019 by Judge Arvin Sadiri Balagot, the president of the court of the 12th Judicial Branch of Region 17 in the city of Kidapawan.

Dorado is one of the suspects linked to the murder of the missionary on October 17, 2011. At least four other suspects linked to the murder remain fugitives. Tentorio was killed at dawn that day by assailants outside his parish convent. Soon after, the provincial government set up a local investigative task force to investigate the murder. Tentorio was the second missionary priest in North Cotabato under the same congregation to be assassinated. The first was Father Tulio Favali, also a PIME missionary, killed in the town of Tulunan in 1985, since then members of a group of local vigilantes.
