“This is the first scene of the film. We see a father negotiating the adoption of his son with strangers, ”says Uberto Pasolini, director of Nowhere special – A love story. “I was interested that the viewer didn’t understand the situation immediately, but gradually”.
The film, released on 8 December, distributed by Lucky Red, tells the story of John, a Belfast window cleaner where he lives with his son Michael. When he discovers he has a terminal illness, he begins to look for new parents to ensure the child has a happy future after his death.
Uberto Pasolini is an Italian director, screenwriter and producer. He directed Machan – The true story of a false team (2007) e Still life (2013).
