UDINE. In the Chiavris district, the decision to cut down a series of trees along the path of the canal is causing discussion. On Friday the plants cut in via del Maglio were thirty. “They were dry or sick, they had to be demolished – the deputy mayor Loris Michelini specifies – but they will be replaced: the residents don’t have to worry.”

Yet the choice caused a bit of discontent also because Via del Maglio is very popular for walks by those who live in the area, who during the warmer months chose the benches in the shade of some of the trees “sacrificed” to look for some refreshment.
