50 are minors, all temporary guests in a hotel
(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, MARCH 29 – 92 people displaced by the war in Ukraine were welcomed in Sardinia today by the regional civil protection, which coordinated the operation authorized by a government provision, including 50 boys and girls. The car was set in motion with the news of the arrival of a group made up mostly of minors from family homes. The prefecture had already informed that it was urgent to find accommodation “pending the definition of any other accommodation solutions”.
The Region, through “an exploratory notice of expression of interest” published on the institutional website, then found accommodation for the group in a hotel.
Various associations of volunteers collaborated in the operations – let them know from viale Trento – while Caritas provided lunch for the refugees. A play area for children has been set up in the same room as the hotel.
