BELLUNO. The first ten letters have been sent to the same number of Ulss 1 Dolomiti employees who have not vaccinated themselves against Covid. If these people do not show up at the vaccination appointment set for them by the company, they will be immediately suspended from work and also from the Order to which they belong. The health company now begins to get serious months after the entry into force of the rule that imposes the obligation to vaccinate against the Coronavirus on health workers.
Meanwhile, attention is focused on the immunization of the Belluno population. More than 49,000 residents are still missing, while the new positives are increasing every day. And of these, so far, most are not vaccinated. The average age of the infected and of the hospitalized people is also lowered, which is below 70 years.
From midnight today Thursday 5 August until Friday 13, the Ulss has made available an additional four thousand bookable places to immunize oneself. «This plan called“ FastVax ”is possible thanks to an extra supply of Pfizer and Moderna», explains the general manager Maria Grazia Carraro. This week anyone who books can be vaccinated within a few days. «It is an opportunity not to be missed, considering that the climate also plays an important role in infections. Here, in the Belluno area, the cold starts earlier and this leads people to close themselves in the bars, creating opportunities for contagion. So let’s not let the situations we saw last fall come back to life. Let’s get vaccinated now, not tomorrow ».
To raise awareness of vaccination, Ulss Dolomiti has also organized ad hoc evenings in which the people of Belluno can show up without an appointment to join the prophylaxis campaign. Tonight it will be in Belluno from 7pm to 9pm, on 10th August in Cortina, 11th in Pedavena, 16th in Auronzo and 28th August in Feltre.
