By necessity, the covid-19 pandemic has transformed the world of work, forcing us to rethink the productive and creative methods that can do without physical interaction.
Massimo Siragusa’s photos, taken between 2005 and 2017 in spaces such as the La Scala theater laboratory or at the Rimini Fair seem to anticipate the current situation and invite us to reflect on how the spaces in which we work play a fundamental role in the construction of society. and individual identity.
The photographer from Catania, winner of four World press photos, pursues his style by approaching landscapes and architectures deprived of human presence. He focuses on the beauty and geometry of the buildings, solicits the eye through lights and colors. Look today, his photos in the workplace produce an alienating effect that evokes the opposite of what we see, namely the swarming of the people who lived in those spaces before the pandemic.
The project will be on show at the Other Size Gallery in Milan from 10 June to 23 July.
