Vaccine AstraZeneca, waivers also in Valle d’Aosta

by admin

AOSTA. News of the death of three people who had received the AstraZeneca vaccine are also causing concern in the Aosta Valley. Even if so far there is no evidence of a link between the vaccine and the deaths, the regional administration campaign against Covid-19 has suffered the consequences with renunciations and defections.

The Usl Company is now trying to reassure the people of Valle d’Aosta. “At the moment – underlines the USL – no adverse reactions have been recorded in subjects already vaccinated with AstraZeneca”, therefore “this vaccine will be used, maintaining adequate surveillance and supervision actions and in compliance with ministerial directives . It should also be noted that the WHO has also confirmed the safety of the vaccine “.

The invitation addressed to the Valle d’Aosta is to “confirm with confidence the registration to the portal for the administration of the same”.

In response to the defections that have already taken place, the health company has called other people who “have made themselves available for vaccination”. The same will be done in the coming days if there are other renunciations so as not to slow down the campaign and not to waste the doses already prepared.

The USL has also activated a collection of adhesions of people willing to be vaccinated with minimal notice. Interested parties can contact the InfoTamponi service by e-mail indicating their personal data, a telephone number and the vaccination office (Aosta, Morgex, Chatillon or Donnas). “Only the subjects useful for completing the vaccination session will be contacted”.
