At the start doses for school-age children without reservation

(ANSA) – TURIN, 26 JUL – General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, extraordinary commissioner for the Covid-19 Emergency, arrived at the Nuvola Lavazza in Turin, the first stage of today’s visit to Piedmont. He is accompanied by the president of the Piedmont Region Alberto Cirio, by the vice-president Fabio Carosso, and by the regional councilors for health Luigi Icardi, for civil protection Marco Gabusi, and for education Elena Chiorino.

With them also the Commissioners of the Crisis Unit of the Region, Vincenzo Coccolo, Emilpaolo Manno and Antonio Rinaudo, and the head of the Regional Civil Protection Sector Franco De Giglio.

The vaccination hub, opened by Lavazza on 7 May, has so far administered 96,000 vaccines and honored 30,491 coffees.

Vaccinations for the 12-15 year old age group are currently underway.

In today’s visit, the Piedmont Region’s Safe School plan will be presented to Figliuolo. One of the initiatives, which kicked off this morning, is the vaccination of school-age children without a reservation: students just need to show up at any vaccination hub in Piedmont accompanied by a parent.

The two days of Figliuolo in Piedmont will end in the Cuneo area in Frabosa Sottana, where today at 12 a meeting with the local administrators is scheduled for an assessment of the Covid Free Mountains project launched in recent months by the Region. (HANDLE).
