Continue with vaccinations, while the virus continues to slow down both in the territory (from 910 to 874 the infected, with several municipalities that become Covid free) and in Piedmont, where 529 cases and 12 deaths were recorded yesterday. Admissions in ASL / To4 hospitals drop to 150 (-25 compared to Friday) and – very important data – the ratio between patients in intensive and semi-intensive care and others drops to 11% (Friday was 17% ). In detail, there are 19 hospitalized in Chivasso (8 in intensive and semi-intensive care), 18 in Ciriè, 42 in Lanzo, 9 in Ivrea (4), 46 in Cuorgnè, 16 in Settimo Torinese. The Covid places occupied in hospitals, as of yesterday (Tuesday 11), were 168 because, to the 150 hospitalized, the 18 people in the emergency rooms must be added. The significant drop in pressure on hospitals means that, gradually, the health company deactivates dedicated beds and this, gradually, means a slow return to normality even if, for example, it is not yet clear when the hospital of Cuorgnè will be able to return to its pre-pandemic function. The beds dedicated to Coronavirus positive patients are 363 (-18 compared to Friday) and another 30 are in the intensive and semi-intensive care units (-20 compared to May 6).
Come on vaccines
An important acceleration, however, the Region gives it the opportunity to join the vaccination campaign. Basically, by mid-June everyone will be able to register, according to a schedule. From yesterday, May 11, people aged between 50 and 54 can register on Ilpiemontetivaccina.it. The over 50s who have already joined (the 55-59 age group could register from 4 May last) in Asl / To4 are 10,714 and, of these, the first 34 have already been called and vaccinated with the first dose. Membership will start on 25 May for the 45-49 age group, on 1 June for people between 40 and 44, on 8 June between 30 and 39 and from 15 June between 16 and 29. Meanwhile, among the important innovations, starting from May 17, also on the Ilpiemontetivaccina.it portal (and not only on Salute Piemonte), it is certainly worth noting the possibility to download your vaccination certificate, an official health document that indicates the doses and the type of vaccine received. Be careful, however, because to comply with the privacy and security requirements, it can only be downloaded by logging in with Spid. News in the middle, however, is the announced forecast of the decade by which we will be called for the vaccine. Yesterday, those who signed up, the computer system gave as an indication for the vaccine by 31 July. The convocation of people takes place shortly before with the communication with SMS or email where there is the time and place of the administration or from your general practitioner in the case of both those who vaccinate.

With the vaccination centers currently active in the area (19 in addition to the three in the hospitals and the Ivrea Clinic), the ASL / To4 has a proven ability to administer over 5,200 vaccines per day. At the moment the company is not at its full potential because it depends on the availability of vaccines and therefore, for now, no other center openings are planned. On the other hand, a collaboration with companies is envisaged as soon as vaccinations for employees of the various production companies start. On the basis of specific agreements, companies will be able to vaccinate their employees in the ASL vaccination centers on the days when these are closed. At the moment, vaccination of the over 80s is practically completed. Of the 32,167 vaccinated, 29,471 received both doses. Administration in over 70s also continues fast: 26,694 had their first inoculation (7,339 in general practitioners’ offices). As for the frail and vulnerable, 23,219 (10,659 have finished) and 8,596 among the over 60s were vaccinated.
