Vaccini in Catania, investigation into the interruption of the cold chain

CATANIA – The Public Prosecutor of Catania has launched an investigation to find out the causes that led yesterday, in the hub built in the former fruit and vegetable market of San Giuseppe La Rena, to the precautionary suspension of the administration of a batch of vaccines due to a problem in the chain of the cold. Investigations were delegated to the Carabinieri of the Nas of Catania to ascertain any culpable crimes in the conservation of doses or willful crimes. The suspension of the use of that batch for vaccinations was adopted as a precaution after operators noticed that the refrigerator where the doses were stored had a problem with the power supply.
