A provision signed by Lavevaz for bars and restaurants that will be able to serve tables. A free tampons service has also been activated
AOSTA. Valle d’Aosta will be the only Italian region colored orange from Monday 17 May. The parameters taken into consideration by the control room are in fact not positive enough to allow entry into the yellow zone.
Valle d’Aosta records 156 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the period from 7 to 13 May: it is the highest incidence among all regions. The cases of contagion are decreasing, however, the average Rt index is slightly increasing to 0.98 (it was 0.93), but still remains compatible with the type 1 scenario. The upper range of the index exceeds 1 (1.1). The overall risk assessment for the Valley is “low”, equal to that of most of the other regions, and there are no alerts relating to the resilience of local health services.
Regional ordinance anticipates the yellow zone
The president of the Region has already signed an ordinance that in some respects brings the Aosta Valley into the yellow zone from May 17. The provision substantially confirms the ordinance of 7 May last but in addition it allows bars and restaurants (and other catering activities) to serve customers at the table exclusively outdoors, until 6 pm, in compliance with the distancing and to the extent maximum of 4 people per table.

Free swabs for travel and visits to micro-communities
The regional administration has also ordered from next week, in collaboration with the Local Health Authority, the activation of a free service of tampons available to those who need a certification of negativity for travel outside the region and visits to facilities for the elderly. The service will be carried out at the drive-in set up in the Espace Aosta area.
