“They were two mandates in the name of commitment, I leave a healthy and well-kept country to future administrators”. Pierangela Tealdo, 74 years old, he has been mayor of Vesime since 2012, but is not running for the next term. There are currently no candidates.
Mayor, what differences did you find during your two administrative mandates?
“I immediately had to answer in the first person in every area, precisely because there was no junta; in the second round, however, luckily I had capable administrators by my side ».
What was sown and then reaped?
“In recent years we have taken steps to be able to draw on resources that would allow us to put our fellow citizens in the conditions of being able to benefit from ever better services. For example, we have managed to renovate the municipal roads, secure the school buildings that house the nursery, elementary and middle school; we have redeveloped the sports facilities, the cemetery and the tree-lined avenue on the bridge ».
How does it feel to wear the mayor sash?
“So many emotions and above all the pride and honor of being able to represent one’s community”.
What is the longest and most accomplished project that is left to the new administrators?
“The arrangement of school buildings and several other projects set up thanks to the PNNR which will allow further opportunities for the development of urban spaces”.
What did you find when you first took office?
“I found a healthy and robust country, with a generous and helpful community.”
With regard to fiscal policy, how did you intervene?
“We have tried to adapt to other local realities, without weighing on the pockets of citizens.”
What about the environment?
«We intervened trying to avoid hydrogeological instability, without disfiguring the landscape; we have replaced the lighted bodies with low energy consumption systems ».
In the social?
“We have always supported the Vesime group, a solidarity country, which deals with providing basic necessities to those in need”.
What dreams have come true?
«I would say all of them; we are a small country, but we get busy, I hope that those who come in the future will continue to work with the dedication that has characterized our administration “.
