The Court of Assizes of Appeal of Catania confirmed the life sentence of Mamadou Kamara, the twenty-year-old Ivorian guest of the former Cara di Mineo because he was found guilty of killing Vincenzo on 30 August 2015 in their villa in Palagonia for robbery Solano, 68, and of raping and killing his wife Mercedes Ibanez, aged 70. The first instance sentence was handed down on February 8, 2019. The accused has always pleaded innocent.
