Violent hailstorm in Riccione: grains as big as golf balls and damaged cars

On the night of Thursday 18 August a violent storm hit the province of Rimini. In Riccione, many holidaymakers claimed to have seen “hailstones crosses like stones and golf balls” falling from the sky. Many parked cars were damaged by hail with dents on the bodywork, torn mirrors and cracked front and rear windows.
