Divided into shifts, the forty volunteers, with evening and daily monitoring, transported the small animals across the road, allowing them to reach the waters where they will then reproduce, thus creating a new generation of amphibians: 2,170 saved in 42 days. The president of Chiusella alive, Alessandro Turco explains: “After two seasons of Covid which had limited rescue activities without ever stopping them completely, the 2022 campaign gave excellent results, both in terms of amphibians transported and recorded and for the number of volunteers.
