Vittorio Veneto closes the Monte Baldo tunnel: “slalom” in the A27

For motorists the inconveniences return: the construction site will be suspended only on weekends, for the long weekend of June 2 and August 15th

VITTORIO VENETO. The closure of the Monte Baldo tunnel, on the A 27 motorway, resumes. The work to make the southern pipe, located between Vittorio Veneto north and Vittorio Veneto south, resumes. For any Sunday queues, the alternative is already there: the Alemagna state road, with the novelty of the funnel at the intersection of via Matteotti which has been solved by widening the entrance and exit lanes.

The company Autostrade per l’italia, therefore, announced that on the A27 Mestre-Belluno, starting from 24 on Sunday 22 May, “the modernization works will resume in the Monte Baldo south tunnel, located between Vittorio Veneto north and Vittorio Veneto south” . To allow the continuation of the activities, an exchange of carriageway will be activated – exclusively from Monday to 6 pm on Friday – at the height of the fornix which will in any case guarantee the passability of the section in both directions.

“In addition, in order to facilitate users, a time schedule of the works was shared with the local institutions which provides for the removal of the construction site, not only on weekends, but also on the occasion of the long weekend of 2 June and for the week of August 15th. »Specifies Autostrade. The company reminds that the works carried out in the Monte Baldo tunnel are part of the modernization program that Autostrade per l’Italia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructures and Mobility, has started on the entire network under management. Last summer the queues formed mainly on weekends, especially on Sunday afternoons, since both upward and return traffic from the mountain took place along the north tube.
