The CCP’s official media “People’s Daily Online” reported on May 7 that the Standing Committee of the Ganzhou Municipal People’s Congress in Jiangxi Province announced on the same day that it accepted Wan Kai’s resignation request and accepted his resignation as a deputy to the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Congress.
According to public information, Wan Kai, 48, is from Nanchang, Jiangxi, and has worked in the Jiangxi public security system for a long time. In December last year, Wan Kai was transferred to be the deputy secretary of the Ganzhou Municipal Party Committee, deputy mayor, and acting mayor. In January this year, he became the mayor.
The pro-CCP Hong Kong media “Sing Tao Daily” reported that Wan Kai Chuan was Shen Deyong’s nephew. The Epoch Times was unable to independently verify the claim.
Shen Deyong served as the vice president of the Supreme Court for 8 years and the executive vice president at the ministerial level for 10 years. He was a member of the 18th and 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
On March 21 this year, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China informed that Shen Deyong was under investigation, and it was reported that his relatives and secretary were also detained and assisted in the investigation.
