This is the training ground for naval aviation in the Southern Theater in 2021. Deming has just turned 50. It has been 31 years since he first flew into the sky at the age of 19. Although still strong and strong, his flying life is approaching his twilight years.
In 2019, Deming League once said, “If you are lucky, you can fly for 2 years until you are 50 years old.” Now, two years have passed, and the love for flying has become more and more profound. When asked when to say goodbye to flying, his answer is the same as that of the year. The same: “If you are lucky, if allowed, fly for a few more years.”
This flight training requires a whole morning, which includes two independent flight missions. About an hour later, the plane landed on the tarmac, the cockpit door opened, and the ground crew opened the buckle on his body familiarly. He stepped down the boarding ladder, took off his helmet, boarded the shuttle bus without saying a word, and left. The parking bay went to the tower to prepare for the next flight training.
After the plane landed, the ground crew was guiding the taxiing route of the carrier-based plane.
Being a pilot was his childhood wish. The year he graduated from high school, the army recruited pilots in Jiangjin, and he did not hesitate to apply for his name. In August of that year, he received an acceptance letter from the Flying Academy.
The realization of the young wish is only an introduction, and the pilot’s career has just begun. Piloting is a challenging job. It tests a person’s physical fitness and meticulousness. It has extremely high requirements for a person’s physical fitness. If you are not careful, you will die.
During the Deming League’s career, he has flown 16 types of aircraft, which is also a large number for professional pilots. In these flight experiences, it is not the moment when death has not passed by. The second was the parachuting training when he first entered the military school. During the process of falling quickly like a free fall, he was surprised to find that his parachute rope was entangled with the wing. Although he had learned how to deal with dangerous situations in school, the crisis really came. At the time, he was still shocked in a cold sweat. The other time was shortly after he graduated and was assigned to a certain naval flight regiment. He and his comrades drove the plane into the air and the engine suddenly caught fire. In order to avoid ground personnel and facilities, they kept manipulating the falling plane and ejected only at an altitude of 500 meters. Afterwards, I discovered that after a few seconds, I might not be able to jump out again… These experiences have accumulated the awe of flying. Deming League joked that “face death is a unique experience.”
On May 25, 2021, Deming League just completed the flight training mission.

An aircraft with a speed of 200 meters per hour must land precisely between the carrier deck and the blocking rope at high speed. The hook hooks the blocking cable and suddenly reduces the speed of the aircraft at high speed to zero in an instant. The high speed is required because once the cable fails, the carrier-based pilot must quickly pull up the aircraft and quickly go around.
What kind of feeling does the carrier-based aircraft feel like hanging on the ship?
