Never as this summer – between pandemics, fires and floods – has the link between climate change, environment and health been more evident. This was also confirmed by the report of the Intergovernmental Group on Climate Change (IPCC), which denounced the role of human beings in the current crisis. The climate emergency therefore poses unprecedented challenges. On the fiftieth anniversary of their foundation, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and Greenpeace have decided to discuss this intertwining of the environmental crisis, global health and social equity, on which the well-being and even the survival of human beings and many other living species depend. who share the planet with them. Andrea Pinchera of Greenpeace, Monica Rull Villa of Msf and Ndoni Mcunu, founder of Black women in science will discuss it on 2 October in Ferrara.
