A helicopter accident in the Manrique neighborhood of Medellín shocked the city this Monday, February 26. The incident occurred in the afternoon and was recorded by several citizens who witnessed the gruesome events that continue to be the subject of investigation for the authorities.

The helicopter crashed in one of the communities of Medellín. Apparently, the aircraft, which would be a commercial type, was returning to the capital of Antioquia after an expedition in Guatapé and when it was preparing to land, it had problems in the procedure, a version that has not yet been fully confirmed.

Apparently this terrifying event took place when the aircraft that remained at a heliport located on 68th Street and 45th Street when it rose and began to spin in the air without being able to stabilize and ascend normally, losing height and impacting a nearby structure. .

On the other hand, other hypotheses surrounding the event mention that the accident occurred when the aircraft tried to take off, but did not reach sufficient height, which led to the accident.

According to preliminary information, so far no injured people have been reported since in fact they managed to rescue each of the people on board the ship unharmed. The authorities confirmed that four passengers, the pilot and the co-pilot are out of danger.

“At the moment they do not report any injured people; alerts have been activated with the relief agencies,” the initial report mentions.
