With the decree of 5 January which introduced the vaccination obligation for the population of over 50s, a penalty to be imposed 100 euro for whom, al February 1st , will not be in compliance with anti-Covid immunization. Not only. From February 15 for all workers (public and private) and freelancers aged at least 50, the obligation of a reinforced green pass will be triggered: the fines for those who are caught in the workplace without green certification range from 600 a 1.500 euro.
The duration
The obligation will remain in effect until June 15, 2022 and also concerns those who turn 50 years of age after the date of entry into force of the decree (i.e. theJanuary 8)
The obligation to vaccinate (third dose included)
The sanction of 100 euro (applicable only once) concerns those over 50 who, on the date of February 1st, have not started the primary vaccination course or have not completed it or have not done «the booster dose following the primary vaccination cycle within the terms of validity of the green certifications» (ie the “booster”).
Ten days to prove the right to exemption
The published decree also establishes that the recipients of the notice of initiation of the sanctioning provision have 10 days of time from receipt to communicate to the ASL “any certification relating to the deferral or exemption from the vaccination obligation, or other reason of absolute and objective impossibility”.
Control and penalties for no vax
The sanction for unvaccinated over 50s is the responsibility of the Ministry of Health through the Revenue Agency: the ministry, using the Agency, notifies the non-compliant subjects of the initiation of the sanctioning procedure and indicates the deadline of ten days from receipt for communicate any certification relating to the deferral or exemption from the vaccination obligation. In the event of opposition to the sanction, the jurisdiction lies with the Justice of the Peace, while the State Advocacy has the patronage of the Revenue Agency).
