[Epoch Times, July 25, 2021](Epoch Times reporter Xu Yiyang comprehensive report) A few days ago, Zhengzhou City, Henan Province was hit by a flood that was officially claimed by the Chinese Communist Party as a “once in a thousand years”, causing heavy losses. So far, not only have no central-level officials come to offer condolences, but Xi Jinping, the general secretary of the Communist Party of China, suddenly appeared in Tibet.

The heavy rainfall from July 17 to 20 caused floods in more than 130 cities and counties in Henan Province, including Zhengzhou City, and the disaster continued. At the time when the people in Henan were hit by the disaster, the Chinese Communist Party’s official media collectively reported on Xi Jinping’s visit to Tibet.

According to the CCP’s official media, this year marks the 70th anniversary of the CCP’s occupation of Tibet. From July 21 to 23, Xi Jinping went to Nyingchi and Lhasa in Tibet to inspect the local countryside, railways and monasteries.

Nyingchi is a prefecture-level city on the border between Tibet and the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, and is known as a strategically significant Tibetan border town. The CCP claims that Arunachal Pradesh is part of southern Tibet, but the Indian side firmly denies this.

On June 25 this year, the CCP opened the first electrified railway in Tibet, the Lalin Railway (Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway), and Linzhi was on the news.

According to the Chinese Communist Party’s official disclosure, the Lalin Railway is 435 kilometers long and has a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour. Compared with road travel, the Lalin Railway has reduced the travel time from Lhasa to Nyingchi from 5 hours to more than 3 hours.

As a component of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway, the Lalin Railway is a strategic project that is important enough for Xi Jinping to plan, deploy, and promote. significance”.

The Sichuan-Tibet Railway is the second railway connecting Tibet and Mainland China. It starts in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, passes through Ya’an, Ganzi, Qamdo, Nyingchi and other places, and finally arrives at Lhasa, the capital of Tibet.

This railway has important military uses. Zhu Weiqun, the former director of the Ethnic and Religious Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, once said that if a crisis occurs on the border between China and India, this railway can be used as a “fast lane” for the transportation of strategic materials.

Since the bloody clash on the Sino-Indian border last June, the two sides have maintained a state of tension.

According to Indian media reports, the CCP has been strengthening the air infrastructure at strategic locations along the Sino-Indian border, including the development of at least 16 airports. In the area bordering India, the CCP has been building or expanding air bases.

The report said that last year, when the situation in Ladakh was tense, the CCP began to build an airport at the westernmost tip of China. The airport is located in Xinjiang, bordering Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Due to its proximity to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor), the airport is considered a key strategic base for the CCP.

In recent months, both China and India have established infrastructure along the border to provide support for additional troops. The Chinese military has increased its garrison from 15,000 at this time last year to at least 50,000; India has also sent at least 50,000 soldiers to the Sino-Indian border.

A large number of military buildups took place in eastern Ladakh. The region overlaps with Kashmir and Tibet and is an important strategic region.

From the Qing Dynasty to the National Government, the central government has always had jurisdiction over Tibet, but it has never interfered with the social patterns and religious beliefs of Tibet.

But in 1959, less than ten years after the CCP signed a “peace agreement” with Tibet, the CCP sent troops into Tibet on the grounds of a rebellion in Tibet, massacring Tibetans and monks, and at least 80,000 Tibetans were forced to go into exile in India. The Dalai Lama, the political and spiritual leader of Tibet, also fled Tibet in the same year and has been in exile in Dharamsala, India. The CCP believes that India’s support of the Dalai Lama and asylum to Tibetans is a provocation to the CCP.
