As the rain belt weakened and moved eastward, the rain decreased yesterday. From 8:00 to 20:00, light rain fell in the whole city. The most rainy place was located in Junying Village, Lianhua Town, Tong’an. The accumulated rainfall was 13.7 mm, reaching the level of moderate rain.
Affected by the cold air and precipitation, around the early morning of yesterday, the minimum temperature at the Xiamen National Basic Meteorological Station dropped to 4.2°C, setting a new low since the winter of last year. Such a temperature makes people cold and unbearable, but in the history of Xiamen’s meteorology, such a temperature is not in the top three of the low temperature list. The coldest day ever recorded in Xiamen was on January 25, 2016, when the Xiamen National Basic Meteorological Station was 0.1°C. It was followed by 1.5°C on December 29, 1991 and 1.9°C on December 23, 1999.
Since the daytime yesterday, the temperature has picked up, between 9 ℃ and 12 ℃, slightly higher than the previous day. The average relative humidity throughout the day is 86%. There are northeast strong winds of magnitude 6-7 and gusts of magnitude 8 along the coast.
This round of rain will continue for two days. Today our city is cloudy with light rain, the minimum temperature is 8 ℃, and the maximum temperature is 11 ℃. Starting tonight, the southern air flow will strengthen, and the rain will increase in our city. It may rain moderate to heavy rain, and the visibility will be reduced when it rains. If citizens go out, they should prepare in advance and pay attention to traffic safety. Tomorrow, the rain will gradually weaken, and the temperature will not change much.
The day after tomorrow, the long-lost sun is expected to reappear. According to the current forecast, from the day after tomorrow to the 26th, the highest temperature in our city during the day will rise day by day, and the highest temperature on the weekend will return to 20 ℃. At the same time as the temperature rises, the temperature difference between day and night is still relatively large.
