It has been basically controlled, and the prevention and control work has achieved phased results.
On the same day, Xiamen City held its 17th press conference to report the latest situation of epidemic prevention and control. Wang Tingliang said at the meeting that from 0:00 to 24:00 on the 29th, there were no new confirmed cases reported in Xiamen. On the 30th, a total of 6 confirmed cases were cured, including a critically ill case from Quanzhou (this case is currently still being treated for underlying diseases in designated hospitals).
According to reports, there are 66 cured and discharged cases in Xiamen City, all of whom have been rehabilitated in Xiang’an Hospital affiliated to Xiamen University. There are 169 cases still receiving treatment in designated hospitals in the city, of which 132 are common type and 37 are light type. The 3 cases in Zhangzhou were all common type and their condition was stable; of the 3 cases in Quanzhou, 1 case was common type and 2 cases were light type.
As of 24:00 on September 29, Xiamen City has reported a total of 235 confirmed cases, with 10 cases in Siming District, 8 in Huli District, 2 in Jimei District, 8 in Haicang District, and 207 in Tong’an District.
Following the closure of the Huixiang Garden in Yundang Street, Siming District, the city, the closure management was first lifted on September 28, and on the 30th, Xiamen City and District Headquarters sealed off 2 closure zones in Siming District and 1 closure zone in Tong’an District. The control area has carried out risk assessment and research and judgment. According to the relevant requirements of the community prevention and control plan of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council and the Xiamen City Headquarters regulations on the release of community control and control, these 3 communities have met. According to expert evaluation opinions, October On the 1st, the 3 medium-risk zones in Fumanjiayuan, Ren’an Community, and Guantian Yangyili, Xike Town, Tongan District, in Siming District, will adjust their risk levels from the previously delineated medium-risk zone to low-risk zone. These 3 cells will be released from the closed control management.
In addition, the expert team will conduct a comprehensive assessment of 3 other closed and controlled areas in Xiamen City on October 1st: Mingyuan Garden, Huli Street, Huli District, Phase II of Haifu Square, Haicang District, and No. 288, Beipian, Shitang Village. It is also expected to be officially unblocked if it meets the conditions for unblocking.
Since the outbreak of the current round of the epidemic, Xiamen has carried forward the spirit of not being afraid of difficulties and fighting day and night to resolutely curb the spread of the epidemic. The State Council’s Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism sent 133 experts to set up a working group to assist, and cooperated with the professional backbones of Fujian Province, cities and districts, and quickly organized a series of comprehensive control measures such as flow traceability, nucleic acid screening, fixed-point isolation, and community management and control. Two Fujian medical teams and cities such as Zhangzhou, Putian, Fuzhou, Nanping, Longyan, Sanming, Ningde and other cities also sent nearly 3,000 medical staff to provide strong support to Xiamen during the critical period of epidemic prevention and control.
Xiamen City has planned to designate 1 high-risk area and 11 medium-risk areas; delineate 46 closed areas and 19 control areas, and strictly implement the management of closed control areas.
