Yellow Sicily, what changes (and all the rules for the other areas)

by admin

Masks mandatory even outdoors. But also a smaller capacity for outdoor shows and stadiums. The latter is a particularly felt theme since the football championship restarted last weekend. These are the news that are released for the territories – starting from Sicily, in the yellow band from 30 August – which pass from the white to the yellow zone. No curfew, then. No shop or business closures. No news on travel. The government faqs are expected to clarify whether the limit of 4 diners at the restaurant table is still in force (unless they are cohabitants). All in all limited changes, in short, which affect above all in terms of image for the tourist season.

“The current yellow zone is a much more discolored yellow than the restrictions it previously provided” so the possible passage of the regions in yellow risks being “a bit symbolic”, declares virologist Fabrizio Pregliasco, professor of ‘State University of Milan.

Masks mandatory even outdoors

With the new yellow color, the masks, which in the white area are mandatory indoors, in yellow must always be worn outdoors (children under six are exempt). The Region of Sicily on 13 August issued an ordinance extending the obligation to wear a mask also to public outdoor places, but only “if it is in the context of the presence of more than one person in particularly crowded places”. With the yellow zone, the mask always clicks outdoors.

Limited capacity for stadiums, theaters, cinemas and concerts

For theaters, cinemas, concerts, museums, stadiums, indoor restaurants for lunch and dinner, gyms, spas, amusement parks, game rooms and public competitions the same rules apply as for the white zone. So you always need the Green pass (it is enough to have taken the first dose for 15 days). The latter, as in the white zone, is mandatory from the first of September also to get on intercity and high-speed trains, ships (except for the Strait of Messina) and long-distance buses, as well as on air flights national (for those abroad the obligation already existed, but the green pass in maximum line is valid only if the vaccination cycle has been completed by 14 days). They remain closed the discos, as in the white area (where bar and restaurant services are authorized, but it is not possible to dance on the dance floor)

However, one must be registered smaller capacity per outdoor shows and sports facilities. In fact, in the white zone there is no numerical limit for concerts, cinemas, theatrical performances or stadiums. It is sufficient that the capacity does not exceed 50% of the maximum authorized outdoors and 35% indoors. And in the case of events with a number of spectators up to 5 thousand outdoors and 2,500 indoors, there are no restrictions. In the yellow zone, on the other hand, the capacity allowed for live entertainment it cannot be more than 50 per cent of the maximum authorized. A percentage that is halved to 25% for sport facilities. But in in both cases there is a (identical) fixed limit. Maximum 2,500 spectators outdoors and 1,000 indoors. It means that 30,000 can enter the white zone in a stadium of 60,000 people. In the yellow zone only 2,500.
