On the evening of February 21, Yin Weidong, chairman, president and CEO of Kexing Holding Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (“China Kexing”), said today that China Kexing will invest 10 billion yuan in the next five years to support the development of biomedical industry. Basic research, innovative R&D and industrialization will promote the development of China’s biopharmaceutical industry.

“China contributes almost 50% of the world‘s total vaccines,” Yin Weidong said. “Not only are 3 billion vaccines inoculated locally in China, but behind it, nearly 2 billion doses are inoculated in different countries and regions around the world.”

Yin Weidong said that in addition to increasing its own R&D investment, part of the 10 billion will be invested in cooperation with universities and research institutes. Since the beginning of this year, China Kexing will accelerate its investment in scientific research in the field of biomedicine, such as providing free assistance to Shenyang Pharmaceutical University to build a laboratory of the Cell Test Center, signing an agreement with the Chinese University of Hong Kong to jointly build a P3-level biological laboratory, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Biophysics The Institute has jointly established the “Joint Laboratory of Frontier Technology and New Vaccines and Drugs” and established the “Kexing Life Medicine Award”.
