Yue Shan: The Mystery of the Sudden Death of Tianjin Mayor and Former Deputy Mayor | Liao Guoxun | Ren Xuefeng | Suicide

[Epoch Times, May 2, 2022]Liao Guoxun, deputy secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and mayor, was officially declared dead on April 27 because of a sudden illness. version. The situation is strikingly consistent with Ren Xuefeng, who had been the deputy mayor of Tianjin for a long time and died of illness more than two years ago when he was the deputy secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee.

Officials said the 59-year-old Liao Guoxun died “due to a sudden illness and the rescue was ineffective”, but did not specify the exact time, place and cause.

Liao Guoxun’s last media appearance was on April 25. According to Tianjin Satellite TV, a meeting on pollution prevention and control was held in Tianjin on the same day. The picture shows that Liao Guoxun’s demeanor is not obviously abnormal, and the officially released photo of Liao Guoxun does not show any sickness at all.

Caixin.com quoted an official in Tianjin as saying that Liao Guoxun passed away “very suddenly”.

News about Liao Guoxun’s suicide spread like wildfire on the Internet, and there were at least two versions.

Some overseas media, citing insiders, broke the news that Tianjin bureau-level officials had been conveyed that “Liao Guoxun died of suicide.” It is said that Liao Guoxun committed suicide because he was reported to have a relationship with two medical nucleic acid testing companies in Tianjin. He also named the two companies: Tianjin Kangxinuo and Tianjin Jiu’an Medical.

It is said that after Liao Guoxun was interviewed by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection on the morning of the 27th, he committed suicide in the office in the afternoon. It was not discovered until after 10pm.

Under the CCP system, disaster relief incurs very large government spending, and it is difficult to track usage. At present, as long as there are some areas under lockdown, there must be corruption involving nucleic acid testing and vaccines. If this is the reason, it can be corroborated by the subsequent investigation of relevant companies.

Another way of saying that Liao Guoxun hanged himself in the office at around 2 pm that day was related to the Guizhou period, and his people in Guizhou have been arrested. Moreover, it was said that his chief secretary had attempted suicide by taking sleeping pills a few days ago. On the day of the suicide, his home was raided, and he said it was a myocardial infarction, so to speak.

Since Liao Guoxun was the former head of the current National People’s Congress Chairman Li Zhanshu when he was in Guizhou, he also served as the current State Councilor Zhao Kezhi and the current Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee Chen Min’er when he was in charge of Guizhou. This version has the meaning of pointing to a high-level power struggle .

The author believes that who Liao Guoxun is, cannot be absolutely confirmed. The CCP has no officials and no corruption. No matter which faction comes to power, it is the same. Whoever wins is mainly a need for power struggle. But Liao Guoxun is more likely to have an accident because of the problem in Tianjin.

Just on May 1, the first-quarter GDP data of 31 provinces in mainland China were all released. Tianjin ranks first in the country, with a growth rate of only 0.1%, ranking only after Jilin Province (-7.9%), which was closed in March.

The previously announced fiscal revenue for the first quarter showed that Tianjin and Guangxi, a poor frontier province, were the only two places where fiscal revenue fell, and Tianjin City saw the biggest decline. Tianjin’s general public budget revenue in the first quarter was 51.98 billion yuan, down 19.4% from the same period last year; Guangxi’s general public budget revenue in the first quarter was 49.828 billion yuan, down 2.0% year-on-year.

Liao Guoxun was appointed Deputy Secretary of Tianjin Municipal Committee in August 2020, and Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Tianjin Municipal Committee in September. As mayor, is such a dismal performance also one of the reasons why the authorities put pressure on him to investigate him?

Liao Guoxun is the No. 2 figure in Tianjin. Whether he committed suicide because of the investigation depends on the specifications of the funeral and the details of the official media. Of course, since the official wants to cover up, it may try to make it look better.

Is the official turmoil in Tianjin before the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China a sign that Li Hongzhong is not good?

The death of Liao Guoxun will directly bring about turmoil in Tianjin officialdom. In particular, Liao Guoxun died just before the re-election of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China. This was a critical time point to decide whether Li Hongzhong, who was in charge of Tianjin, would be promoted to Beijing.

After the death of Liao Guoxun, Jin Xiangjun, the deputy secretary and secretary general of the Municipal Party Committee, was promoted by Li Hongzhong after he arrived in Tianjin. He served as the deputy mayor in January 2018 and served as the Standing Committee and Secretary General of the Municipal Party Committee in 2021. Yue was promoted to Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee.

Li Hongzhong has always been accused of being a chameleon. He turned out to be the secretary of the princeling Li Tieying. Later, he was promoted by Huang Liman, Jiang Zemin’s mistress. In 2016, he was the first to call out “Xi Core” and was transferred from Hubei to Tianjin shortly after, and he entered the Politburo the following year.

There have been reports that Li Hongzhong may have the opportunity to become a member of the Politburo Standing Committee at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. If Liao Guoxun’s death is related to Tianjin’s epidemic prevention and corruption, Li Hongzhong will not be able to escape his leadership responsibility. Coupled with the poor economic performance of Tianjin, this may be the reason why he was attacked by political opponents. Li Hongzhong’s career may be overshadowed by the death of Liao Guoxun. However, another possibility is that Li Hongzhong is the one who wants to bring down Liao Guoxun.

Liao Guoxun is one of the rare provincial and ministerial-level CCP officials in mainland China to die while in office. Before that, there was also Ren Xuefeng, deputy secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, who was suddenly officially declared “dead from illness”. He also had a Tianjin official background. Tianjin has become a dangerous career destination.

Ren Xuefeng, the former deputy mayor of Tianjin who has the same fate as Liao Guoxun

Similar to Liao Guoxun, the death of Ren Xuefeng, the No. 3 figure in Chongqing at that time and Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, was also very strange, and the mystery is still unsolved.

At 11:00 p.m. on November 3, 2019, Chongqing official media reported, “According to the Chongqing Municipal Comrade Ren Xuefeng’s Funeral Management Working Group, Comrade Ren Xuefeng, deputy secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, recently passed away due to ineffective medical treatment at the age of 54.” As for Ren Xuefeng The illness, time and place of death were not stated. This is similar to Liao Guoxun’s situation.

The special feature of this report is that the news was sent out at night a few days after the Fourth Plenary Session, or in order to minimize the spread and influence of the news, without mentioning the date of death, only saying “recent days”, it seems to disconnect the relevant four Lenovo of the Central Plenum.

An obituary circulating on the Internet stated that Ren Xuefeng died on October 31, 2019, during the Fourth Plenary Session of the Communist Party of China. The cremation time of Ren Xuefeng’s body was only 9 hours before the official announcement of his death. The place was at the Changping funeral home in Beijing, not at the Babaoshan funeral home after the death of a senior CCP official who died in Beijing. This shows that Ren Xuefeng died in Beijing.

Ren Xuefeng is only 54 years old. From the photos, he looks like Liao Guoxun. He looks well maintained and doesn’t seem to have any fatal disease.

Folks say that Ren Xuefeng committed suicide by jumping off the building, and even said that he committed suicide by jumping from the 7th floor of the Jingxi Hotel where the Fourth Plenary Session of the Communist Party of China was held.

Gao Yu, a former Beijing media person, once tweeted that the farewell party for Ren Xuefeng’s body held at the Changping Funeral Home did not have a body.

There are three speculations about the reasons for Ren Xuefeng’s suicide: one is that he may be suspected of “corruption” in Guangzhou; it is reported that Ren Xuefeng was interviewed when he went to Beijing for a meeting, which was related to a P2P project in Guangzhou.

Another theory is that the power struggle in the Chongqing officialdom was the cause of Ren Xuefeng’s death. It is said that there was some kind of disagreement between Ren Xuefeng and Chen Min’er, secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, and the two even had some arguments.

There is also a saying that the problem of Ren Xuefeng in Tianjin in his early years was exposed.

Ren Xuefeng also made his fortune in Tianjin. In 1995, he served as general manager of Tianjin New Technology Industrial Park Development Corporation. In 2002, he served as the deputy director of the Tianjin New Technology Industrial Park Management Committee. Since 2004, he has successively served as Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman and Chairman of Hong Kong Jinlian Group Co., Ltd. In January 2008, he served as the deputy mayor of Tianjin, and until August 2014, he was transferred to the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee (promoted to deputy secretary since 2017) and the secretary of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee. On October 17, 2018, he was transferred to the deputy secretary of Chongqing. He is an alternate member of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

During his tenure as deputy mayor of Tianjin, he worked with He Lifeng, then deputy secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee, and Zhang Gaoli, then secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee. He Lifeng is a recognized confidant of Xi Jinping, and Zhang Gaoli is a member of Jiang’s faction.

Ren Xuefeng and Liao Guoxun also have one thing in common, that is, they were named by Minghui overseas after their death, mainly because they were both pioneers in the persecution of human rights. Ren Xuefeng reportedly worked hard to persecute Falun Gong practitioners while serving in Tianjin and Guangdong. Liao Guoxun was also the deputy head of the Guizhou Provincial Leading Group for Maintaining Stability, that is, the deputy director of the “610” Office, which specializes in persecuting Falun Gong. Later, in Shanghai, he presided over the brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Shanghai Municipal Law System.

Liao Guoxun’s death reveals another ominous omen for the CCP

Among the members of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, two people have died suddenly and mysteriously. In addition to Ren Xuefeng, Zheng Xiaosong, a member of the Central Committee and former director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government of Macau, died on October 20, 2018 in the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Republic of China in Macau. Officials said that he fell from a building due to “depression”, but sources disclosed that Zheng Xiaosong was questioned by officials of the Central Discipline Inspection Commission before committing suicide. This gentleman may have committed suicide by jumping off the building because the news is too public, otherwise the official may also directly say “sudden death”.

In addition, Wang Yupu, a member of the Central Committee and former Minister of Emergency Management, and an alternate member of the Central Committee, Chairman of China State Construction Engineering Corporation, and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group Qing (who had been dismissed before his death) were accused of dying of chronic illness in 2020. Not too suspicious.

The communiqué of the sixth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in November 2021 shows that 197 members of the Central Committee and 151 alternate members of the Central Committee attended the meeting, which is the least plenary session attended by members of the Central Committee in five years. The Central Committee is the top-level organization of the CCP, the so-called Party Central Committee, with Xi Jinping at its core. In a sense, the number of members of the Party Central Committee has gone up and down, and the general trend is no longer good for the number of CCP’s vigor and vitality.

Although Liao Guoxun, who died suddenly, was not a member of the Central Committee, he was a member of the 19th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and one of the top officials of the CCP.
