The manned mission of Shenzhou 13 is the sixth mission of the key technology verification phase of the space station and the last mission of this phase. Zhai Zhigang, male, Han nationality, native of Longjiang, Heilongjiang, member of the Communist Party of China, master degree. Born in October 1966, joined the army in June 1985, joined the party in September 1991, and is currently a special-class astronaut of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Astronaut Battalion, with the rank of major general in professional technology. Served as a flight instructor in a certain center of the Air Force, and flew safely for 950 hours, and was rated as a first-class pilot of the Air Force. Born in January 1980, enlisted in the army in August 1997, joined the party in May 2000, and is currently a first-class astronaut of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Astronaut Brigade, with the rank of colonel. Served as the deputy commander of a certain division and regiment of the Air Force Aviation. He flew safely for 1,567 hours and was rated as a second-class pilot of the Air Force. In May 2010, he was selected as the second batch of astronauts in China. In March 2012, he was selected as a backup astronaut for the Shenzhou 9 mission. In June 2013, he carried out the Shenzhou 10 flight mission. In July of the same year, he was awarded the honorary title of “Heroic Astronaut” by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council, and the Central Military Commission, and was awarded the “Class 3 Space Meritorious Medal.” In December 2019, he was selected into the Shenzhou 13 flight mission crew.

Born in September 1980, enlisted in the army in August 1998, joined the party in May 2002, and is now a second-level astronaut of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Astronaut Brigade, with the rank of colonel. Served as the Air Combat Shooting Director of the Combat Training Unit of the Air Force Aviation Division and Regiment Command. He flew safely for 1,100 hours and was rated as a first-class pilot of the Air Force. In May 2010, he was selected as the second batch of astronauts in China. In December 2019, he was selected into the Shenzhou 13 flight mission crew.
