Zhao Leji meets with President Bio of Sierra Leone

Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, met with President Bio of Sierra Leone on February 28, 2024, in Beijing. During the meeting, Zhao Leji expressed satisfaction with the current state of relations between China and Sierra Leone, citing fruitful cooperation and a high level of political trust.

Zhao Leji highlighted the importance of implementing the important consensus reached by the two countries’ leaders, President Xi Jinping and President Bio. He emphasized China’s willingness to deepen practical cooperation, maintain close coordination on international affairs, and elevate the China-Serbia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership to new heights.

In addition, Zhao Leji discussed the upcoming Second Session of the 14th National People’s Congress and expressed China’s commitment to strengthening exchanges with the Serbian Parliament. This includes providing better legal protection for bilateral cooperation and promoting exchanges in various fields such as political parties, local governments, and humanities.
