Xinhua News Agency, Hangzhou, November 25 (Reporters Yue Deliang and Zhang Xuan) The 32nd meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress of Zhejiang Province deliberated and passed the decision on amending the “Regulations on Population and Family Planning of Zhejiang Province” on the 25th, clearly extending maternity leave , The addition of parental leave, etc. shall come into effect on the day when the decision is announced.

In order to better protect the physical and mental recovery of women giving birth, the regulations clearly extend maternity leave and add parental leave. It stipulates that, on the basis of the maternity leave stipulated by the state, the woman will extend the maternity leave for one child by 60 days, totaling 158 days; for the second and third child, the maternity leave will be extended by 90 days, totaling 188 days. At the same time, it is stipulated that within the child’s 3 years of age, each spouse enjoys 10 days of parental leave each year. The man’s 15-day nursing leave remains unchanged.

It is worth noting that the regulations clearly no longer include the combined calculation of children born before remarried couples.
