Liu Hongxia and her four people, including a friend of hers, an 11-month-old baby, and Liu Hongxia’s 80-year-old mother. At 11:24 noon on July 24, when they took a ride from Mianchi County, Three Gorges City, to Luoyang Railway Station, the station staff told them that all the shuttles were out of service and asked them to refund the ticket. Liu Hongxia told the Epoch Times reporter, “We are now trapped at Luoyang Station and we have no money on our bodies. The railway staff does not care about anything, and the handling fee will be deducted for refunds. We don’t know what to do in the future!”
People going out were caught off guard by the hasty suspension
Before booking, Liu Hongxia checked the report on the website of Henan Business Daily on July 22. The reporter said that it was learned from Zhengzhou Station that as of 10 am, all trains at Zhengzhou East Station continued to be suspended, except for Z146 Zhengzhou-Shenzhen, Except for 5 trains including K1627 Zhengzhou-Nanning, k742 Zhengzhou-Xiamen, k925 Zhengzhou-Qiqihar, and k1144 Zhengzhou-Qidong, other trains were suspended. What Liu Hongxia bought was the k1144 train.

The departure time of this train at Luoyang Station is 2:35 pm, and the suspension time posted online is 10:08 am that day. Liu Hongxia and others took a ride-hailing car from Mianchi County in the Three Gorges City to Luoyang Station, which took more than an hour to travel nearly 50 kilometers. The news from Zhengzhou Railway was so hastily that Liu Hongxia and others were caught off guard.
