The 16 new cases of infection include 8 Olympic-related personnel, 5 outsourcing business staff and 3 athletes. Since the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee announced the infection status of the Tokyo Olympic Games-related personnel every day since July 1, a total of 148 Tokyo Olympic-related personnel have tested positive for the new crown virus. If the Tokyo Olympic Games related personnel who visited Japan to participate in the pre-match training and were infected with the new crown virus are included, the total number of infections has reached 153.
