SAN GIORGIO CANAVESE

First place not only in the Italian quad championship in the sport category, but now also in the French one, under 18 category, for the sixteen year old driver from Cortereggio, a hamlet of San Giorgio Canavese, Christian Versaci.

Top of the standings, at 69 points collected so far, conquered thanks to the first places in the three heats of the second race of the French championship held last Sunday, 25 July in Saint-Aignan-Le-Jaillard, with the young driver of the Hp4offroad Team who has also had to deal with a bad crash in the third heat. However, he managed to recover and excel in the under 18 category, while he had to settle for twelfth overall, as he explains: “It rained both in free practice and in timed ones and the track was not in excellent condition, it was a bit ‘muddy, but then with the arrival of the sun it dried up and it was better for everyone. In the first two heats I managed to get two first places in the category, while at an absolute level I did not go beyond the eighth final place out of over 50 starters. In the third heat instead – continues Versaci – two quads at speed closed me, touching me and making me go off the track. It was not easy to resume the race and try to recover important positions to end the French day in the best possible way. As for my category, the under 18, I still managed to be in front of everyone, but this was not the case at the absolute level. Sorry a bit, but now I will focus on the third race of the French championship, which will be Sunday 12 September in Peschadoires, while the next week there will already be the fourth stage in Castelnau Levis. To prepare myself in the best possible way, from Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th August I will do a race in Font-de-Vaux, where I won the under 16 world title two years ago ». –
