Aiming for the future while respecting the past and the technological steps that have contributed to increasing its myth. Audi is one of the leading car brands at Milan Design Week 2022, a presence that for the ninth consecutive year celebrates the technological and stylistic progress of a brand that is extremely active towards new horizons. At the House of Progress present in Cordusio we talk about the future with the exhibition of the Audi grandsphere concept and the A6 Avant e-tron concept, without however losing sight of the great past of the brand. For this reason Audi has decided to present a photographic book called “FuoriConcorso Quattro”, a celebration in images of the forty-year history of the legendary four-wheel drive of the Ingolstadt-based manufacturer, winner of world rallies and an automotive icon.

A “parade” of legends

The book was conceived and designed by Guglielmo Miani, president of the MonteNapoleone Association, for this reason the homonymous street in Milan was chosen as an exceptional photographic set. A project carried out during the lockdown caused by the pandemic, which allowed photographer Andrea Luzardi to immortalize some of the most legendary cars equipped with quattro technology in absolute solitude in the Milanese night. From the Audi Sport quattro to the Audi RS e-tron GT, passing through unique concepts such as the Audi Avus quattro: a forty-year evolutionary path that excites the imagination of enthusiasts, as also underlined by Marc Lichte, head of Audi design: “I was drawing Audi from an early age, and I still remember when I was struck by the Sport quattro. A car that changed my life. At Audi we try to harmonize the relationship between design and technology “. “There is no future without a past – says Enrik Wenders, head of the Audi brand -. Optimism towards the future is a distinctive weapon of the brand, now focused on sustainability and oriented towards the regeneration of our planet”.
