Two goals in the second half punished the blues at Fortunati Match to forget, now three away matches in a row
An afternoon to forget for the Pavia Academy, which returns to the field after more than a month (from the 4-0 home match against Independiente Ivrea last December 12) and gives badly to Lucchese. The “toxins” from inactivity were hard to dispose of for the Pavesi, 0-2 defeats to Fortunati by the Tuscans, who scored in the last 20 ‘of the match.
Yet the formation of Mr. Corrado Martinotti at the start of the game seemed to be able to take the reins of the game, even without particularly troubling the opponents. The first opportunity, however, is of Lucchese, with the conclusion at the near post by Tata rejected by the Pavese goalkeeper Vignati. Error, then, in the disengagement of the Academy and Eletto tries with a shot from long distance, central and a little high above the blue crossbar. In the first half final, Pavia shows up in attack by winning a couple of corners, but without success. We go, therefore, to the break at 0-0. A result that reflects the trend of the first 45 minutes without sensational scoring opportunities on both sides. Only a couple of interventions by the blue Vignati goalkeeper. An overall subdued first half by the girls of Mr. Martinotti.
A penalty unlocks the result
In the second half practically nothing happens until the 26th minute when the host attacker Pieroni in the area is landed by Di Giulio and for the referee there are no doubts: penalty kick; from the floppy turns Eletto for the guest advantage.
After the penalty, double change in the Pavia Academy: inside Poletto and Zecchino for Longoni and Di Giulio. Martinotti throws fresh energy into the field in an attempt to equalize. But at 39 ‘on the corner of the Lucchese beaten by Bengasi, the free Tata enters the middle of the area and doubles for the Tuscans. It is the 2-0 that closes the match in favor of the host team. A doubling that sees great responsibilities of the Pavia team that left the opposing player free. At this point the last minutes pass and after those of recovery the Lucchese, who arrived at Fortunati with a mid-table position in Group A of Serie C, deservedly celebrates the three points.
Three consecutive away matches
A race to be filed quickly for the Pavia Academy which from tomorrow will immediately have to think of a busy schedule that will see it engaged three times away from Fortunati in nine days: next Saturday a trip to the Maddalena Island in Sardinia to face Caprera , Wednesday 2 February midweek recovery in Pinerolo and Sunday 6, new recovery (taking advantage of the stop at the end of the first leg) in Terni. Three decisive races to understand what the role of the blues could be in the second part of the season: if in the race for the very first positions with the big names, starting from leaders Arezzo or if she will have to content herself with an outsider role behind the opponents who will compete for the promotion in Serie B. –
