Padua, 20 May 2022 – I am four victims of the accident in San Pietro in Gu between a Fiat Multipla and a truck. Two other people, injured, are still hospitalized. They were all in the same car: two of the Multipla’s 6 passengers died instantly. Two more later died, after the helicopter rescue had transferred them, to desperate conditions, in the hospitals of Vicenza and Padua. The two injured, not in danger of life, are in the hospital of Cittadella (Padua).
According to an initial reconstruction, it was one head-on collision between the Multipla and a truckit seems that the car was in the process of overtaking. A very violent crash, which left no escape for 4 of the people in the family car. No serious consequences for the driver of the Tir, a Vicenza, who works for a company in the area and was finishing his shift. L
The identity of the victims has not yet been ascertained. We only know that they are all Foreign citizens. State road 53 Postumia remained closed to traffic for a long time, to allow complex rescue operations, and subsequently to make the road safe. Numerous fire brigade vehicles, 4 ambulances and two Suem 118 helicopters intervened on the spot.
