UDINE. With the Green pass, with the limitations of the case, but it will be done and without the maximum number of members.

There are already over 800 registered for the 21st Udine Marathon, which after the forced break of last year returns on Sunday 3 October.

The organizational machine is in full swing, to better manage a logistics that promises to be complex especially due to the obligation, for the athletes but also for all the staff on duty during the event, to show the Green Pass and deliver to the staff of the Udinese Marathon Association the anti-Covid19 self-declaration for tracking.

«The Green Pass verification process – informs the president of the Association, Paolo Bordon – will take place through the national app VerificationC19, installed on mobile devices. The start of the runners, which will take place from Viale della Vittoria, at 9.30 am, will be staggered. At the start, and then for at least the first 500 meters, the athletes must wear a mask ».

The arrival is expected in via Vittorio Veneto. In compliance with national directives, the Maratonina Association also had to prepare an organizational, health and safety plan and a competition regulation consistent with the general regulations in force, subject to scrutiny by the bodies in charge. The pre-race and starting areas will be adequately delimited, to avoid crowds.

The 2021 edition will offer only the half marathon and, on the evening of Saturday 2 October, the “Climb of the Castle” time trial by invitation, in which 21 men and as many women will face the ramp that climbs to the hill of the castle of Udine.
