On with the merger. But now Alpina and Longarone await the moves of the mayor Roberto Padrin regarding the agreement for the three sports fields that would be used by the new company.
An agreement still to be found is that concerning the main field of Longarone, the annexed subsidiary and the Codissago structure. In the meantime, the hypothesis that a good number of players leaving the Gialloblù association will merge into the Amici di Fortogna, a club ready to be reborn and whose intent is to enroll either in the Third Category or in the CSI, is becoming more and more solid.
AGREE ON EVERYTHING
Carlo Giuliana, president of Alpina in dialogue with the Longarone managers, is sure of it.
“We both want one company,” he comments. The ideas are in fact clear: the first team will play in Longarone, the youth teams probably in La Rossa. The First Category championship will be played, albeit with an eye to the possible repechage in Promotion. It will depend on the places available and on the structuring of the groups in numerical terms.
«Now we await the agreement of the municipality for the assignment of sports facilities. It is a significant step, because it would allow the new association to be able to reason in the long term. Among other things, personally I would like to give the opportunity to sponsor the stadium. I think there are interested companies, considering the visibility of the structure that is located along the road connection with Cortina. The 2026 Olympics will bring thousands and thousands of tourists to transit through Longarone ».
In the meantime, Giuliana ensures the work «aimed at building the team. We are facing the dialogues with the players, then we will go to renew loans and so on. We have several open fronts and we try to follow them carefully ».
In any case, therefore, even if the merger does not go through, the Alpina will be coached by Tiziano Schiocchet and by the deputy Federico Garlet. The first purchase, that is the defender Michele Polesana, is down official.
THE OTHERS
The merger between Alpina and Longarone is not the only one at stake this summer.
It has already materialized between Limana and Cavarzano, albeit concerning only the first team participating in the Promotion championship and the regional juniors. The three Serie D teams are also trying, while Lentiai and Gemelle have joined their youth forces giving life to LG Valbelluna. In this case, however, the two senior teams remain separate.
