To improve the quality of the game and get the three points to secure third place in the men’s mini B1 group of Serie B. These are the objectives of the Alto Canavese involved tomorrow, Saturday 17 April at 8.45 pm, in the recovery of the fourth leg in Acqui Terme against the Alexandrians. The opposite tall Canavese Claudio Avalle, 27 years old from Quarona (Biella), an employee of a textile company explains: «With the victory of Savigliano in Ciriè last Saturday, 10 April, the chances of finishing first in the mini group have been definitively zeroed. Ciriè who is second still has two games to play, while we who are one point behind Ciriè have only one more: to be able to hope for a second place we should win tomorrow in Acqui Terme and hope for a double defeat for Ciriè – says Avalle. More than doing these calculations – on Saturday we want to win by improving the game too, it must be a sort of preparation for the playoffs scheduled for Wednesday 12 May. We will go to Alessandria with the full line-up, knowing full well that it will not be easy to get the full loot, because they should recover important pieces after Covid 19 and compared to the return match (the return of the first leg was played first). ‘only one that I have not played, we could find a whole other team – says Avalle -. During the week we trained regularly and now we are ready for the challenge, the head will only have to be in the match on Saturday: it would be nice to finish this group as we started it, or with an away success. Then we will be able to think about the playoffs, where we will meet the second of group B2 in a round-trip match, in which we must not make mistakes ».
