Clearly beaten the Lavagna in the first leg, it is repeated on Sunday in Liguria.

Victory 3-0 in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Alto Canavese at home, at PalaCuorgnè, against the Genoese of Lavagna on Wednesday, 12 May. Match anything but spectacular from the point of view of the game expressed by the two teams, who will now meet in the second leg this Sunday, 16, at 17.30. The cuorgnatesi to detach the pass for the national semifinals will have to win or even lose, but only at the tie break: in the event of a 2-3 defeat, in fact, they would touch four points, with the Genoese who would remain at two and would be eliminated. In the event of a 1-3 or 0-3 defeat, the playoff set would be won. However, it will not be easy to get the better of the Blackboard even on the return leg: the Genoese have never lost at home this season.
Moving on to Wednesday’s match, coach Fabio Matteotti sends the typical team onto the field: Carlevaris in dribble, Bolla and Menardo di banda, Spinello and Giacobbo in the center, Avalle opposite (Sansanelli free). In the first set both the Alto Canavese and the Lavagna make a few mistakes too many in the serve, as well as some invasions, with the match struggling to take off. After the initial 5-5, it is the Alto Canavese who makes the first break of the match, moving forward by three points, but the guests are holding up well. Thus we arrive at 20-18 for the Alto Canavese: from here on the Alto Canavesani take over the reins of the game and win the first set 25-22. Best guest start instead in the second fraction, with the score that reads 4-8 for the Lavagna, the Alto Canavese however reacts and, thanks also to the change in the Bolla-Grosjacques band, re-establishes parity, thanks above all to a good joke and succeeds then to lead in the score with Menardo who puts the final point of 25-21. Same script also in the third and last fraction: coach Matteotti confirms Grosjacques for Bolla from the beginning, but the start of the set is all from Liguria, ahead 0-4. As the minutes go by, the guests fail to be incisive in attack and then the Alto Canavese takes advantage of this by overturning the result and also winning this set 25-20. –
