HEART
Beginning and end of the championship within the friendly walls of PalaCuorgnè for the Alto Canavese, of the new captain Claudio Avalle, in group A (12 teams) of men’s Serie B. The upper Canavese team of coach Fabio Matteotti will begin his third adventure in B on Saturday 16 October hosting the Ligurian team of Zephyr La Spezia and will end the season on Saturday 26 March hosting the Acqui Terme from Alessandria.
Alto Canavese, which will close the calendar year with two home games: on Saturday 12 December challenge against Ciriè and seven days later against the other La Spezia Npsg formation from La Spezia.
As with the women’s B1, also in men’s B the championship resumes on Saturday 8 January, with the last first leg: «First of all we hope to finally start and finish a Serie B championship. So far – says coach Matteotti – in the previous two seasons we never managed, due to the Covid-19 pandemic: the first year the tournament was suspended in half, while last year it was played with the formula of proximity and with our group that was divided in two mini groups. The regulation established by the Federation provides that the first two teams compete in the playoffs to enter A3, while the last three will go down to Serie C. Our priority objective is to reach a peaceful salvation, then we can think of other objectives. This year – we will face many new teams, such as the Ligurians ». In the first three days, the Ligurians competed: Zephyr La Spezia at home, Colombo Genova outside and Cus Genova, one of the favorites for the final victory together with Acqui Terme and Ciriè. Then challenge in Novi and then with the Blackboard. After these games I clash with Collegno and immediately after Sant’Anna di San Mauro Torinese. Other new teams will then be Chieri and Npsg La Spezia, interspersed with comparisons with Ciriè and Acqui Terme. –
