Then on 7 June the first uphill arrival in Fanano-Sestola is expected, the same epilogue of stage 4 of the Giro dei grandi, won on 11 May by Dombrowski. The next day will reserve another good dose of altitude difficulties: Bonferraro-San Pellegrino Terme, with the brow of the Selvino at less than 20 km. The seventh stage is entirely Valtellina, with a start from Sondrio and an uphill arrival – 2020 meters – at Lago di Campo Moro: the final steepness measures 15 km, average gradient 6.9% and peaks of 12%.
Then the Aprica-Andalo with the Tonale far from the finish line and an ideal route for escapes. It will be an interlocutory day for the big players, waiting for the fireworks of the decisive stage number nine: departure from Cavalese and double ascent of Nevegal (the last will be valid as arrival). The landing of the caravan in the Belluno area will coincide with the assignment of the three steps of the podium. An all-Venetian finale that will end with the San Vito al Tagliamento-Castelfranco sprinter walkway, 162.7 km with the Muro di Ca ‘del Poggio, the dentelli of Guia and Asolo. Epilogue for resistant sprinters, it is not excluded that there may be an escape.
And if in the Trevigiani Campana home the lights will be on Colnaghi, two stage victories and jersey of the points classification at the Giro baby 2020, Zalf will focus strongly on Edoardo Zambanini, who eight months ago had finished 10th and with the white jersey of youth leader.
