Angri and Locri, the twinning is now charity – Sport

by admin

Angri and Locri celebrate the twenty-fifth year of a twinning born “today”, but back in 1996, on the occasion of the double challenge of the national phase of the Italian Amateur Cup. The two fans met by chance but united by choice, subsequently consolidating a fraternal friendship that over the years has also moved away from the pitch. The milestone of twenty-five years is expected in the two cities which, despite being more than 450 kilometers apart, live with the same emotion a twinning that goes beyond the generational change because it is founded on solid pillars pertaining to values and culture that solidly resist the change in the ultras world. Grigiorossi and amaranth united under a single banner to testify the resistant cohesion between the two supporters who met on the football fields only in the two matches of the Italian Cup.
The two fans have thus decided to allocate the proceeds from the sale of the jerseys celebrating the twenty-five years of twinning to charity. «We will sell, in common agreement with the amaranth brothers, a celebratory shirt at a cost of 15 euros with the proceeds going to charity. In Angri, thanks to the collaboration of the “Congregation of the Sisters of San Giovanni Battista”, shopping vouchers will be distributed to the less fortunate – explain the ultras of the grigiorosso horse – while our brothers from Locri will donate the sum raised to the pediatric ward of the city hospital ” . In the two cities already yesterday evening banners appeared in the central area to celebrate the achievement of an absolutely atypical but important goal in the world of organized support.
