Civitavecchia, 25 September 2021 – The withdrawal has been canceled for approx 70 managers of the ASL Roma 4 on Monte Velino, an initiative scheduled for next weekend that has raised a heap of controversy these days about the nature of the event. In addition to the cost for the health company of Civitavecchia and other 28 municipalities north of Rome who, to organize the withdrawal called “Evento outdoor (R)Evolution Asl Roma 4” between Thursday 30 September to Saturday 2 October, has allocated over 100 thousand euros with stay for participants in a 4-star resort.
For the organizers of the initiative it is an event conceived as “outdoor group workshop“, reads the description of ASL Roma 4, to create a” common and shared planning framework, which will form the basis for the Strategic plan 2022/23“. In practice, an experience to do” team building “among the key figures of the company, therefore a training opportunity outside the ordinary working context to create group dynamics and knowledge between colleagues who aim to improve the ability to work together. Outdoor activities, common experiences and excursions are planned so that participants are advised to bring appropriate clothing and shoes.
However, the event did not fail to attract the attention of the press, in particular for the costs of the initiative which provides for a stay in a resort a 4 stelle in Colli sul Velino, with also gadgets as a reminder of the experience for which the purchase of 70 keychains with compass, 70 water bottles and 76 backpacks was planned: total for the 3 days 103,700 euros excluding VAT in the estimate for ASL Roma 4 which led to suspect that it was more an opportunity for a relaxing meeting, “a paid luxury vacation” was said, compared to a training workshop for public executives.
A controversy arose that led ASL Roma 4 today to communicate theevent cancellation with a note from the general management of the health company: “Sorry to note the exploitation of a very important moment for the future of the company – reads the note -, in which professionals are called to collaborate constructively in the realization of the Strategic Plan, in a national context of demand for strong transformation and innovation of public services at central and local level. However, the company management considered it appropriate to cancel the training event that will be repeated in different ways”.
