BELGRADE. Armand Duplantis, the ‘Sergey Bubka of the new era’. The Swedish tightrope walker climbs higher and higher and today at the Indoor World Championships in Belgrade he crossed 6.20 meters, setting a new world record. ‘Mondo’ Duplantis, 22, on the platform of the ‘Stark Arena’ of the Serbian capital overcame the measure on the third and last attempt after winning the race with 6.05. For Duplantis this is the fourth world record in two years: 6.17 in Torun in February 2020, 6.18 in Glasgow a week later, 6.19 in Belgrade thirteen days ago.
