The BWF stated that the relevant penalties will start on January 25, 2022, with a two-year suspension. If similar behavior occurs during this period, the suspension penalty will be implemented immediately. At the same time, all the prize money won by the above four players in the 2018 China (Fuzhou) Open was confiscated.
According to the procedure, the athlete has the right to appeal to the International Court of Arbitration for Sport within 21 days of being notified of the penalty decision.
