BORGOFRANCO D’IVREA

The new adventure of the Bajo Dora in First category began yesterday, Tuesday 24 August at 8 pm at Orla Riccio in Borgofranco d’Ivrea.

The club of president Franco Bargellini, included in group C, is in its second consecutive season in the first category and has the aim of not relegating, despite the fact that the squad is made up of very young players (a good 80% are players born between 2000 and 2003 ), as the coach Andrea Baroni also explains, in his third season on the All Blacks bench: «I couldn’t wait to get back to work, to savor the scent of the grass and to prepare for the new season with the boys. We will continue all week until Friday, then Saturday 28 August free day and Sunday new training session. Also the following week we will train every night ». The first friendly match will be on Wednesday 1 September at 8.30 pm in Caravino against La Serra, a third category team. Then on the following Wednesday the Bajo Dora will challenge the Romanese, this time at our home in Bajo Dora, at 20.30 and will be the last friendly before the season debut in the league on Sunday 12 September.

Mister Baroni, a charismatic coach who makes competitive fury, but also the beautiful game, his peculiar characteristics, then traces the path to follow this season to reach salvation: “This year we have set up a very young squad, we will certainly miss him experience, but what I want from every single player is that he always takes the field with a knife between his teeth and with the so-called “cazzimma” – says Baroni -. They must embody my desire to win against every opponent, then if after giving everything on the pitch for 90 ‘we leave the pitch with zero points, we will shake hands with the opponent. In addition to important values such as intensity, competitive fury, however, it will also be important to show off good game plots, always trying to play the game by playing football. We want the opponents to have an uphill field, the sooner we reach salvation the better it will be for everyone ».

The coach of the Bajo Dora then focuses on the preparation, which, due to inactivity again this year, will have to change: «The working method this year will be different than usual: less speed and more resistance». The Bajo Dora has therefore started again with a lot of enthusiasm and desire to get some great satisfactions at the end of the season, with the awareness that it will certainly not be easy for anyone to take points away from Orla Riccio. –
